Hello hello, I’m Brooke 👋
I’m a Physician Assistant, a life coach, a gym rat, and a slightly unhinged pickleball addict 😆
I used to play small (as Taylor Swift would say, I was a pathological people pleaser 🙃) but then I said… fuck that 😜 and now I genuinely live my most authentic, beautiful life.
This is where I write about the hard part that nobody warns you about: the hard part was never the workout.
It’s getting there after a ten-hour shift. Showing up consistently for 6 months once you start getting bored. Saying no to the cookies when you’re stressed.
For the girls who probably already know what to do, but can’t get themselves to… do it. You know exactly which workout would make you feel like yourself again. You know you’d feel better if you didn’t have an iced coffee for breakfast ☕️ and hot cheetos for lunch 🌶️ and then demolish your entire fridge the second you walk in the door because you’re starving…
…or is that just me? Lol 😅
No need to be hard on yourself babe, we’ve all been there and we’re in this together. Nothing has gone wrong, and you are not the problem. We don’t guilt our way into loving ourselves here 🙅♀️ We’re real, raw and vulnerable, and we learn about our silly little minds and how to navigate them.
Again: you aren’t the problem. The problem is the twelve feet between your couch and your gym bag, and that silly little voice going “but I’m tirrreeddd… maybe tomorrow” 😴
Quick credibility check, because I’d want one too 🤓
I have a bachelor’s in nutrition science and a master’s as a Physician Assistant, so I actually know what’s physiologically happening inside your body.
Oh, and I used to hate myself 🫠
Here’s what I learned: hating yourself on the way to your goals 1) doesn’t work, and 2) is no fun. I spent years learning to love myself, the good AND the bad. Because I’m nowhere near perfect and life is short, so why waste a single moment hating myself when I’m actually… kind of a badass 💅🏼
Working out used to be a buffer for my anxiety, and I’d cave on the bag of chips the second I felt an uncomfortable emotion. Now I know how to set goals and actually show up, especially with food and exercise, and I want to share all of it with you.
The thing that’s helped me most? Becoming a life coach. Why? Because I had to work through all of my own bullshit before I could start helping anybody else 😅 And now I’m here to hand you the tools too.
Also, just so we’re clear on who’s writing this: I’ve skipped the workout I planned all week. I’ve stood in my kitchen at 9pm mindlessly eating a tub of ice cream, staring into the freezer 🍦 I’m in it with you, not above it.
What you’ll get ⬇️
A post every week 💌 Free subscribers get the story, the mindset, the why and the practical half too: my actual workouts, exactly what I’m eating, the drills, and step-by-step tools I run on myself and with clients.
Challenges we do together 🏋️♀️ Every so often we pick something and go after it as a group. Daily prompts, a thread where I’m actually in there with you, and zero guilt if you miss a day.
The mental game of showing up 🧠 Goal setting that survives week three. What actually happens when motivation runs out, and what to do with the version of you that wants to quit.
Training that builds you instead of punishing you 💪🏼 Real workouts and, more importantly, how to think about them. I train like an athlete, not like someone doing penance for eating bread 🍞
Your relationship with food 🍽️ The emotional eating, the guilt, the 9pm kitchen thing. No meal plans, no macro police, no earning your dinner. Just the honest stuff about why food is almost never only about food.
The competitive brain 🏓 What pickleball keeps teaching me about pressure, ego, losing, and coming back. Most of which has nothing to do with pickleball.
Who this is for 🫶🏼
If you’ve tried everything and still can’t get yourself out the door.
If you’re exhausted by the little negotiation you run every single night.
If you can set a goal and get started but can’t seem to stay committed all the way through.
If you’re just tired. Tired of holding it together for everyone else and shrinking so nobody feels threatened by you.
If any of that landed, hi 🙋♀️ That was me too. I see you girl, and you’re going to want to stick around. Trust me.
Come say hi 🥰
This isn’t me talking at you, I want to talk with you. Tell me what you’re working on, what you keep quitting, or come celebrate a win, big or small 🎉 I’ll be in there reading and connecting with you. And I’m probably replying while cuddled up with my fur babies 🐾
Oh, one more thing 💅🏼 Besides my dogs, my other great love is encouraging women to play big. So every so often you’ll get a post about an area where I think we should all be taking up more room. Making more money is a big one 💰
The hard part was never the workout. Let’s talk about what it actually is 💫
